How do I renew my permit?You can renew online at Office of Finance website following a few simple step and save the postage. If you are mailing in the form and the name and address on the form are correct, look for the box on the front of the form, right hand side that has a signature line. Please sign the form in the area for Signature, indicate your Title, Daytime Phone, and Date Signed. Put your check and the form in the envelope provided and mail to the Office of Finance. The mailing address on the envelope is Taxes and Permits File 57063 Los Angeles, CA 90074-7063May I pay by credit card?Yes, if filing online you will be directed to our payment site or if you are mailing your form follow the above instructions and instead of including a check complete the credit card payment information as requested on the renewal form.What if there has been a change to the name or address or I have discontinued my business?If online this question is asked and if answer is yes you are allow to make the change there otherwise on paper you will need to use the reverse side of the renewal form at the bottom there are several areas you can fill out depending on what has changed. Check the box that applies to you under the area that says Check Appropriate Statement . The boxes to check are either: Legal Name, DBA and/or Address Changes; Business Activity Sold or Discontinued; Entire Business Sold or Discontinued; Building(s) Sold.After checking the box, fill in the information that applies on the appropriate lines. The information on the lines ask for: Date Activity Ceased"(Discontinued); Legal Name Change or DBA (Doing Business As) or New Owner s Name; Business Address; Mailing Address/City State Zip; New Owner s Telephone Number; Address of Building Sold.Once you complete this information, be sure the front of the form is signed and completed, and mail as indicated above. How come I am getting another bill, I just paid for my permit?The payment you made previously was for the prior calendar year; this payment due is for the current calendar year renewal period. Will I get a new Fire Permit in the mail?Yes, once your renewal and payment are processed for the current renewal period the computer system will automatically mail out a permit for the current year.
